A Visit That Felt Like Home: Giants of Africa at Indaro Organization

During a recent trip to Rwanda 🇷🇼 with Giants of Africa (GOA), we had the honor of visiting Indaro Organization, a place that truly lives up to its name.

Together with Chloe Arnold, Hermes Iyele, and Fezzy Fel, we spent time with the children of Indaro and shared something special: teaching them the official Giants of Africa dance. What began as a simple cultural exchange quickly became a powerful moment of connection, joy, and shared humanity.

From the very first moment, the welcome we received was overwhelming. The warmth, energy, and love expressed by the children and staff was unlike anything we had ever experienced. It wasn’t just a visit — it felt like coming home.

The word “Indaro” in Kinyarwanda means home or a place to live. That meaning was not only spoken but deeply felt. Indaro is more than a physical space; it is a safe haven where children are nurtured, valued, and encouraged to dream.

We are deeply grateful to Indaro Organization for opening their doors and hearts to us. Experiences like this remind us why community, culture, and care matter so much in shaping the future of young people.

A special thank you goes to Emelyne for being a guiding light and making this meaningful visit possible. Her dedication and connection helped turn this moment into something truly unforgettable.

This visit was only the beginning.

We will be back.
